The short version: we collect what we need to price your deals and send your alerts, and nothing we'd be uncomfortable explaining to you.
What we collect
- Your travel preferences. Your home airport, the destinations you want watched, your date flexibility, and a couple of profile answers. We use these to match deals to you. That's the whole point of the questions.
- Your email, if you give it. We use it to send your deal alerts and account emails. You can unsubscribe from alerts anytime from any email.
- Billing information, handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We don't store your full card number; Stripe does. We keep a customer reference and your membership status.
- How you found us. A short attribution tag from the link you arrived on, so we know which content brought you here. It isn't sensitive and isn't sold.
- Basic usage events. Which funnel steps you reached and whether you subscribed, so we can see what's working and improve it. Standard product analytics.
What we never do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't store your full payment card details (our processor handles that).
- We don't email you things you didn't ask for. Alerts are the product; spam isn't.
Who we share data with
Only the service providers we need to run ShadowFlights: our payment processor for billing, our email provider to deliver your alerts, and our hosting and analytics infrastructure. They process data on our behalf, under their own terms, and only for those purposes. When you click out to book, you're going to the airline or travel site, whose own privacy policy then applies.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from alerts from the link in any alert email.
- Cancel your membership in two taps (see refund and cancellation).
- Ask us to access or delete your data by contacting us.
Cookies and similar
We use the minimum needed to keep your funnel session working and to measure how the funnel performs. We don't run a third-party ad-tracking pile on you.
